– The sole finalist for the position of President at Texas A&M University-Commerce will address faculty, staff, alumni and community leaders in open forums.
The Texas A&M System Board of Regents last week named Dr. Dan Jones, current Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Texas A&M International University in Laredo.
Dr. Jones was selected from a pool of 34 candidates and was one of the final groups that the Presidential Search Advisory Committee had put forward to the Chancellor earlier this month.
Prior to his appointment as Provost and VPAA, Dr. Jones served for several years as the Dean of University College at the University of Houston-Downtown.
