Meth dealer to be sentenced Tuesday

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A meth dealer awaits a punishment hearing today following a guilty plea.

George Leslie Sanders, of Greenville, pleaded guilty Monday to multiple felony counts of selling methamphetamine during 2007. He was scheduled to go to trial on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine. Instead, Sanders entered the guilty pleas and asked to have a jury decide his punishment. The hearing is set for today.

Sanders is alleged to have delivered, or sold, between four and 200 grams, as well as delivered between one and four grams of meth to a confidential informant in Greenville on two separate occasions in 2007. He is facing a sentence of up to life in prison.
