Missing evidence found in Fannin County murder case

By Scott Harvey

Fannin County – It appears Fannin County investigators are now one step closer to finding the killer in the 2002 case of then 28-year-old Jennifer Harris.

Misplaced evidence from the case was recovered Wednesday after months of searching. Now, that evidence can be sent in for testing.

Harris' clothes were found near the Red River where she was killed but testing was not sufficient enough seven years ago.

Today, with advancements in technology, Fannin County Sheriff Kenneth Moore says new testing should be able to identify if a man was responsible for Harris' death. Moore said they have two persons of interest and the test results could lead to an arrest.
