Lamar County – Lamar County authorities are reporting the death of a 23-year-old worker after a mobile home fell on top of him as it was being moved from its location.
The Paris News reports Jaun Victor Lerma Romero was pinned beneath the home when it shifted.
The incident occurred Tuesday morning in south Lamar County along Highway 24.
Romero was pronounced dead shortly after being pulled from beneath the structure. Hydraulic jacks and lift devices were used to lift the trailer and free Romero, but it is believed he died of asphyxiation from the weight of the trailer.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway continuing.
