Moderate Drought Conditions Return (and Will Stick Around) in Northeast Texas

Despite some weekend rainfall, drought conditions are back to moderate throughout much of Northeast Texas. 

The Texas Water Development Board reports that drought conditions are now present in 21 counties in the northeast. The TWDB projects warm and dry conditions throughout much of Texas over the next three months.

Drought is expected to persist in the northeast.
