Greenville – There will be some new parking police working in Greenville soon. Members of the Citizens on Patrol (COP) volunteer organization are being recruited to enforce Greenville's parking regulations. The vote to amend the city's Code of Ordinances, allowing for civilian parking enforcement personnel, is scheduled during Tuesday's regular agenda. The first graduates of the department's COP Training Academy began their duties in late August and also assist with crime prevention patrols, motorist assistance, and disabled parking enforcement and code violations.
