Sulphur Springs – Two Hopkins County firefighters will join the fight out west to help suppress the Texas wildfires.
Commissioners met in emergency session Tuesday in response to a request from the State Fire Marshall. Officials also agreed to send one of their brush trucks to the scene.
The firefighters will join a large group of area crews already on scene, including personnel from Bogota, Commerce, Forney, Mt. Pleasant, Prosper and Royse City.
