Bonham – The first in a series of facilities workshops at the Bonham ISD is scheduled for tonight in the board room at the Bailey Inglish Campus.
The District is asking for community participation to help make decisions regarding the future facility needs for students.
Just weeks after the district failed to pass their second bond election in three years, board members charged Superintendent Sonny Cruse with setting meeting dates to create new ideas as to how to improve schools. There is the possibility they'll pursue another bond election soon, as voting in May saw a significant improvement in "yes" votes compared to a November 2009 bond proposal.
Monday's meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Subsequent meetings, if needed, will be held at the following times:
- Thursday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, August 11 at 6:00 p.m.
- Monday, August 15 at 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, August 25 at 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, September 1 at 6:00 p.m.
So that the district can adequately prepare materials and space, you're encouraged to contact Superintendent Cruse at 903-583-5526 ext. 1100 or by email at email@example.com if you plan to attend.
