Both the men's and women's basketball teams at Texas A&M University-Commerce have players on the south central region 1st team.
Senior forward Scooby Johnson and junior guard Britney Jordan now qualify for national honors as voted by sports information directors at division two schools. Johnson was also named co-player of the year in the region, and Jordan has also been nominated for the coaches' all-america team.
