Greenville – The process has begun to bring a new power plant to Greenville. The city council took the first step in a long in a long process towards bringing a new power plant to Greenville. The Council conducted the first reading of a franchise agreement between the City of Greenville and Greenville Energy LLC and Southern Renewable Energy LP, then voted unanimously to approve the agreement. But the vote was just the first of three needed for just the one agreement, which itself is one of many such agreements will need to be completed.
