Commerce – The City of Commerce is spraying for mosquitoes throughout the city this week. A different section of Commerce will be covered each night beginning at 8:30 starting the 3rd week of each month until mosquitoes are no longer a threat. Four sections have been outlined and a section will be covered each day by spraying trucks.
The chemicals used are of low toxicity to people and pets but direct contact should be avoided. Citizens are urged to stay inside during spraying times in their areas. The product is extremely toxic to fish, however, and all fish ponds should be covered.
