Moving Wall arrives in Commerce

Commerce – The Moving Wall arrived in Commerce yesterday escorted by a motorcycle group of nearly 150 veterans. The Moving Wall is a half-size replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C., and will be erected on the West Lawn of the A&M-Commerce campus today. The arrival of the Moving Wall is part of the 15th Annual Veteran's Vigil on campus. Events begin officially at 11am tomorrow with a reception in the Founder's Lounge of the Memorial Student Center, hosted by A&M-Commerce President Keith McFarland. Patriotic music by the A&M-Commerce Chorale, a city proclamation by Commerce Mayor Sheryl Zelhart, and a speech by Vietnam fighter pilot Chris Adams will be highlights of the reception.

The Moving Wall will be will be open to the public 24 hours a day through Sunday beginning tomorrow.
