Paris – Five individuals have been arrested following a Tuesday robbery in Paris at the City's former Police and Courts building.
A resident reported seeing the suspects leave the building. It was discovered upon arrival that a large amount of copper had been removed from throughout the facility.
Following a lengthy investigation, arrested was 18-year-old Tanya Montana Layton, of Paris, and 23-year-old Damon Earl Layton, of Detroit. They were last reported in custody at the Lamar County Jail. Also taken into custody were three juveniles who were transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility in Greenville.
The investigation is still ongoing.
