COOPER - One man has been arrested after the discovery of a marijuana growing operation just off FM 64 in Delta County.

The felony bust occurred Thursday.

Delta County deputies were assisted in the case by state troopers, DEA agents and a National Guard helicopter.

“Several small marijuana plants were discovered in a barn used as a marijuana growing facility,” Delta County Sheriff Gerald Teague tells the Sulphur Springs News-Telegram. “In the residence, several handguns and long-barrel weapons, along with a small amount of marijuana were found.”
