Municipal Court warrant list to appear in newspaper
GREENVILLE - There’s still a chance for scofflaws to avoid having their name appear in print this weekend.
Those still owing fees from warrants to the Greenville Municipal Court have until the end of the day Wednesday to pay the fines, or their name will appear in Sunday’s edition of the Herald-Banner.
However the current amnesty period will continue through February 17, after which police will begin a warrant roundup and violators will be arrested.
There are currently over 4,900 outstanding warrants in the city, with residents collectively owing more than $1.7 million in fees.
