Murder suspect says he acted in self defense

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A Greenville man claims he was acting in self defense when he shot and killed another local resident in August.

Joshua William Lay entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment Monday for the murder of Darryl Dwayne Feggett, of Greenville.

Lay remains in custody at the Hunt County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond. A tentative trial date was set for March.
