By Brad Kellar

Hunt County – A capitol murder suspect is hoping to get an attorney. Jerry Lynn Phelps, who has a Wills Point mailing address inside the Hunt County limits, remains in custody in the Hunt County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on a writ of habeas corpus seeking the appointment of an attorney. Phelps, charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of the owner of a game room where he used to work, has also been charged with one count of aggravated robbery involving the death of Charlene Hoover Jones. Bond has been set at $500,000 on each charge.
