Hunt County – A Hunt County murder suspect will be staying in place for now. The defense attorney for David Earl Hickman withdrew a request Tuesday for an examining trial to determine whether there was probable cause to continue to hold Hickman on charges of murder and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Hickman, of Royse City, and Tracie Danielle Alphin, of Quinlan, are both charged with killing a Quinlan man in October and stealing his car. Jason Herrington had been missing for more than a month before his body was discovered near Lake Tawakoni in late November. Hickman and Alphin remain in custody at the Hunt County Jail, each in lieu of $1 million bond.
