Murder trial postponed

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A murder trial in Greenville has been postponed. Andreas Tearri Morris of Greenville was scheduled to go to trial Monday in connection with July 2007 death of Cordarian Kelly, also of Greenville. Instead, a judge reset the final pretrial hearing for March 19 and the start of trial for March 23. Morris has pleaded not guilty and has remained in custody in the Hunt County Jail since his arrest in August 2007. Kelly's murder was one of three homicides recorded in Greenville during a single weekend. After reports of a shooting on July 1, 2007, the Greenville Police Department went to the 1800 block of Wellington Street, where they found Kelly who had been shot several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
