Commerce – Commerce police release the names of two suspects, arrested last week in connection to a recent string of vandalism.
Police arrested 18-year-old Justin Cody Whitley and 22-year-old Lee Wayne Mathis Jr., both of Commerce last Thursday. Both are alleged to have smashed the windshields of vehicles located along Aldridge, Choctaw and Sterling Hart Streets between late Saturday, April 18 and early Sunday, April 19.
Whitley and Mathis were transported to the Hunt County Jail, where bonds for both were set at 5,000 apiece. There was no word on if the men remained in jail as of Tuesday afternoon.
