Names released of three killed in wreck near Gainesville

By Scott Harvey

Gainesville – Authorities have released the identies of the three people killed in a chain collision on Interstate 35 near Gainesville.

The crash happened on I-35 northbound at the Elm Creek bridge where two lanes narrow into one because of bridge maintenance.

Killed were Anthony and Kimberly Brandon of Bedford, and 55-year-old Darryl Hoosier of Lafayette, La.

DPS Trooper Mark Tackett says an 18-wheeler driven by 59-year-old James Crayton of Dallas apparently never slowed before slamming into the Brandons' car, which exploded on impact.

Two other people were injured.
