National ranking for A&M-Commerce women's basketball

Commerce, TX – The final national Division II coaches poll of the season placed the Lions 13th. A&M-Commerce defeated three teams rated higher in the final poll to advance to the Elite Eight. The Lions defeated #8 Washburn, #9 Missouri Western and #11 West Texas A&M. A&M-Commerce also downed #18 Emporia State during the post-season run. Clayton State, the team that ended the Lions season at the Elite Eight, finished sixth.

A&M-Commerce also took on three other ranked opponents during the just completed season, #5 North Dakota, and two schools tied for 23rd, Georgia College and State University.
