The Lone Star Conference has chosen three players to receive preseason honors, and one of those players was from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Jordan Neal, a senior from Joshua, Texas was the nearly unanimous choice for Setter of the Year receiving 21 of the 25 votes, topping four other players in the category.
"She averaged 10.50 assists, 2.75 digs, 0.52 kills and 1.14 points per set while hitting .157 to earn All-LSC second team honors." says Melanie Robotham, Assistant Commissioner for the Lone Star Conference.
Along with Neal, Angelo State's Maddie Huth and Shelby Wilt were given preseason honors. Huth received Offensive Player of the Year, while Wilt received Defensive Player of the Year.
The 2013 volleyball season begins in September.
