Northeast Texas Opportunities, Inc. executive director Beverly Logan resigned her position last Friday following ongoing investigations.
NETO’s financial advisor Marty Byers will be assuming her role but did not comment on the situation. According to reports Logan used a Facebook message to NETO treasurer Betty Sue Allen stating she resigned due to the stress.
FBI and local law enforcement continue to investigate the fraud of over $800,000 leading to many surrounding counties to cut ties with NETO and three board members resigning as well – many with great concerns for violations of Open Meetings Act.
