New administrators to begin duties in July

Commerce – Several new hires at Texas A&M University-Commerce begin their work on campus in July.

Beginning Monday, Dr. Christine Evans will begin her duties as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Evans was formerly chair of the geosciences department at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Dr. Larry Lemanski, currently senior vice president for research and strategic initiatives at Temple University, will start work as the new Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs on July 13.

Also on July 13, Randy Van Deven will join the university to serve as the new Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Van Deven is currenlty director of major gifts at Tennessee Technological University.

All three were selected after national searches, and then approved by the A&M System Board of Regents.
