New charges filed in armed robbery case
One month after being cleared of charges related to a reported armed home invasion robbery near Commerce in February, a Dallas man has been indicted again in connection with the same case.
The Hunt County grand jury Friday issued two indictments for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon against Brandon Andre Bowles. The indictments issued Friday allege Bowles was one of three people who used a handgun to threaten two people while in the course of committing theft on February 28.
In September, Bowles was one of three people who were “no billed” by the grand jury on four counts of aggravated robbery.
Brandon Andre Bowles, 21, was arrested in College Station in July and was brought to the Hunt County Jail, where he was charged with four counts of aggravated robbery.
The current indictments list Bowles, one other male suspect and an unnamed third person as having committed the alleged robberies. The status of the charges against the remaining two suspects, if any, was unknown as of Friday evening.
Bowles remained in custody at the Hunt County Jail Friday in lieu of a total of $80,000 bond on two counts of aggravated robbery from Hunt County and an additional $20,000 bond on a charge of aggravated robbery out of Brazos County.
On Feb. 28, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a possible aggravated robbery on FM 2874 outside of Commerce.
The victims stated that three black males entered the residence armed with two shotguns and a pistol. The victims stated that two of the suspects were wearing masks and one was not.
All victims were told to get on the floor or they would be shot.
