Hunt County – The search for a new Hunt County Fire Marshal is likely to begin today. Acting marshal Mike Pierce resigned in November due to a pay dispute. He had taken over for Dorsey Driggers.
A committee to review applications for the position is likely to be formed in regular session today by the Hunt County Commissioner's Court. Commissioners hope to have the position filled by mid-February.
