Hunt County – TxDot is planning to perform what is known as Super 2 Construction as part of a major project along U.S. Highway 69 in Hunt County.
The 13.4 million project calls for widening the highway from the current two-lanes with shoulders to two lanes with shoulders and passing lanes.
The work will extend between 1.64 miles south of Business Highway 69 in the Center Point area to FM 513 and include the passing lanes approximately every two miles going both north and south bound. Continuous left turn lanes will be installed where there are multiple driveways and where FM 1564 and FM 2947 intersect the highway.
Roadway work is expected to begin next spring.
