New plastics plant up and running

Sulphur Springs – Production is now underway at the new Cell-O-Core plant in Sulphur Springs.

Crews broke ground on the 30,000 sq. foot plastics manufacturing plant last September, and have since hired over 20 workers through the local workforce. The plant will operate 24 hours a day, in three shifts, and drinking straws are coming off the assembly line at a rate of about 100,000 an hour.

Cell-O-Core was established in 1945, and is headquartered in Ohio.
