– The Planetarium at A&M Commerce is showing a new program beginning Friday, January 11. Extreme Planets will review new findings by astronomers of other planets.

Planetarium Director Kent Montgomery says it's a great chance for you to learn about some of the other planets beyond our solar system, and the steps being taken to learn even more. Tonight's presentation begins at 7 p.m. and runs again at 8 p.m. Encore presentations can be seen every following Friday through February.

The Planetarium will also receive a boost when an outdoor observatory is completed. A&M Commerce President Dr. Keith McFarland referenced the future site at the University's Spring Faculty Meeting Thursday. The astronomy observation site will be located about five miles south of town along Highway 50.
