New reward offered in skating-rink homicide case

A new reward has been posted for help in finding a suspect wanted for the murders last summer of two local residents at a Greenville skating rink.

Hunt County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of  Heriberto “Beto” Gallegos Borrego, in connection with the deaths of both Darius Diondre Hubbard and LJjorian Marquise Harris of Greenville.

At approximately 3 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, the two men were murdered at the Skate Safari , 5002 Moulton Street in Greenville.

Investigators with the Greenville Police Department are also asking those who were at the skating rink that morning to contact the department.

A warrant for Borrego’s arrest, involving Harris’ murder, was issued within two days of the stabbings, but Borrego had not been taken into custody as of Wednesday night.

Borrego is 22 years of age, 5’7” and weighs 130 pounds..
