Wolfe City – Wolfe City Police are reporting a new scam in the area, according to the Wolfe City Mirror. Certain individuals are calling homes in the area claiming to be associated with Wal-Mart and selling coupon booklets for $4.95. The scam artists then ask for a checking account number for the $4.95 to be debited from.
There is no such company soliciting for Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart District Office says they have no policies for solicitation such as that and never have.
