New Student Center to hold soft opening

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – The New Sam Rayburn Student Center at Texas A&M University-Commerce will hold its soft opening Monday.

You're encouraged to come by and view the $25 million facility, which broke ground in February. The 92,000 square foot building features a student club, an expanded student organization suite, an Einstein Bros Bagels shop, and wireless internet throughout.

Einstein Bagels will be open for business, plus the new student club will be showing "The Dark Knight" that evening.

Student Center Director Rick Miller says the new facility will serve as a great place for students to relax and study for their upcoming finals.

Construction on the new Sam Rayburn Student Center will continue over the next couple months, until the buildings grand opening schedule for January 30.
