Sulphur Springs – A long-serving judge says next year will be his last. 8th Judicial District Judge Robert Newsom made the announcement this week.
His district includes Hopkins, Franklin, Delta and Rains counties. Newsom was first elected to the bench in 1996. His term expires in December of 2012.
