Commerce – The Commerce School District has taken no action to the issues regarding Superintendent Mike Roberts.
That decision was made following a special meeting Monday, where board members were to consider an investigation into the Superintendent's performance of duties, conduct and employment contract with the District.
As of now, Roberts will remain on paid administrative leave. No additional comments were released and no future meeting concerning the Superintendent has been scheduled.
Board members placed Roberts on paid leave last week, but have not specifyed their reasoning for doing so. A.C. Williams Elementary School Principal Julia Robinson is currently serving as chief administrator in Robert's absence.
Roberts was hired as superintendent in June 2007. He came to Commerce from Sinton ISD, a district of about 2,000 students near Corpus Christi.
