No injuries after train derails in Hunt County

By Scott Harvey

Hunt County – A train reportedly derailed over the weekend after a bridge collapsed just west of Greenville.

Officials say the bridge collapse occurred as the last two cars of a Kansas City Southern freight train crossed it near FM 903.

There were no injuries and the amount of damage to both the train and bridge was unclear.

Railroad officials, state troopers, Merit Volunteer Firefighters, Hunt County deputies and the Red Cross responded to the scene.
