No injuries from Celeste, Commerce house fires
HUNT COUNTY - Two houses in Hunt County were destroyed in separate fires Sunday, one which could be the result of arson.
No one was injured in either blaze, which occurred that morning near Celeste on CR 1017 and that afternoon near Commerce on Garrett Road. According to Richard Hill, director of Hunt County’s Office of Homeland Security, says one person was arrested near the Celeste fire for the theft of a vehicle. An investigation is underway for possible arson. The home had been vacant for some time.
The Commerce home was said to be an older structure and was apparently having some electrical problems.
