FANNIN COUNTY - Two Fannin County police vehicles were damaged when they collided while responding to a call to assist deputies over the weekend.
Neither Trenton Police officer was injured in the wreck. None of the vehicles were carrying passengers. Reports say both patrol cars were found in a ditch along FM 272 when troopers arrived on scene.
According to Trooper Mark Tacket, the two vehicles were following each other and when the officer in front stopped to make a turn the second officer went around him to avoid a collision but clipped his rear bumper. Both units would spin out into the ditch.
