No new evidence in Wolfe City woman's dissapearance

By Brad Kellar

Wolfe City – It turns out there has been no new evidence in connection to a Wolfe City woman's disappearance.

Lisa Chandler disappeared from her home on Highway 34 North in Sept., 2007.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said recent tests conducted on property collected from near Chandler's home, including a bone, did not find items that belong to Chandler and the bone was not human. Meeks said his office had been contacted recently by someone who said a witness observed an individual near the bridge across Brushy Branch Creek, less than a mile south of Chandler's home, around the time of the disappearance.

Deputies searched both sides of the creek bed March 18, with those items recovered sent off for forensics testing. Meeks said the results were disappointing, but added the search would continue.

Anyone who may have information regarding Chandler is asked to the Sheriff's Office at 903-453-6800.
