Nobody hurt after threat at North Texas school

By Associated Press

Denton – A 30-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly making a threat in class that prompted a lockdown at Texas Women's University in Denton.

Nobody was harmed at the school shortly after 9:30 Tuesday morning, but TWU advised students and staff to remain indoors after the man allegedly made an unspecified threat and left class. A TWU statement says the lockdown was lifted by late morning after the suspect was taken into custody.

Later, Christopher Alan Gillette was arrested at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Dallas. He's in the Denton County Jail charged with making a terroristic threat.

TWU has an enrollment of about 14,000.
