Is Northeast Texas a 'Best Place' to Buy a Home? Kinda.

A new report on the best 250 places to buy a home in the Lone Star State is lukewarm on Northeast Texas. The list by online housing and real estate firm LendEDU based its results on home-to-value ratio and five-year projections for employment and population.

All in all, a mere 15 Northeast Texas towns made LedEDU’s top 250. The highest ranking was Royse City, which came in at 142. Collin, Van Zandt, and Hunt counties posted three towns each on the list. Fannin County posted two. No towns in Lamar, Hopkins, Rains, or Delta counties made the top 250.
