Northeast Texas Crews Continue Harvey Relief Efforts

Local fire departments and emergency services agencies continue to head to the Houston/Galveston area.

Crews from Hopkins, Hunt, and Lamar counties arrived in Harris County starting yesterday. Crews and civilian residents from around Texas are joining the National Guard, which Gov. Greg Abbott has activated fully. Rescue workers continue to battle enormous amounts of rain from what’s been a stalled tropical storm system.

Harvey is expected to move up the Louisiana coast Monday. That means more rain for Houston and the surrounding region.
