The Texas Animal Health Commission says it’s found cases of Equine Infectious Anemia in horses in four counties, including Dallas and Kaufman.

Health officials say two quarter horses in Kauffman County and one in Dallas County tested positive for the disease. Cases of EIA in horses in Bastrop and Wilson counties have also been confirmed.

While the horses in Kauffman and Bastrop counties are under quarantine, animal health officials say the Wilson and Dallas county horses have been euthanized.
