Not guilty plea heard in game room robbery case

Hunt County – A not guilty plea has been entered in connection to an area game room robbery. James Russell Moore, of Scurry, pleaded not guilty Monday to allegations he used a toy pistol to rob a Hunt County game room. The robbery occurred in Dec., 2006 at the Tropical Oasis game room on State Highway 34 South. A deputy allegedly found a black fake gun and a black knit mask in Moore's vehicle during a traffic stop shortly after the incident. Moore allegedly told the deputy the gun belonged to his child and that it had been inside the vehicle for some time. A tentative trial date in the case has been set for March 23.
