Not guilty plea heard in Greenville break-in

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A guilty plea has been entered in a break-in at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Greenville.

John David Sampson, of Greenville, entered the plea Thursday to a charge of burglary of a building. Under a plea bargain arraignment, Sampson was placed on five years of deferred adjudication probation with a $1,000 fine and 120 hours of community service.

Sampson and two juveniles were found with alcohol allegedly stolen from the Knights of Columbus Hall after the pickup he was driving was pulled over in August 2009.
