Not guitly plea heard in child abandonment

Commerce – A not guilty plea has been heard in a Commerce child abandonment case. Laurie Candice Bollin of Commerce entered the not guilty plea Monday on two counts of child abandonment. Bollin is accused of leaving a 6-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy alone in a motel room in November, 2008. An attorney was also appointed to Bollin Monday. An interim hearing in the case has been set for March 17.
