Hunt County – A Hunt County officer gets involved in a Monday shooting. The shooting took place near Lake Tawakoni, where Hunt County Sheriff's Deputy Terry Jones reportedly shot and wounded a Greenville man. Jones is said to have been checking on someone walking along Farm-To-Market Road 2101, where he encountered the suspect. The suspect was transported to the Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. As of Monday, his identity was not released pending a possible arraignment today. Few other details regarding the shooting were given. Jones is on today's general election ballot, where he is a Republican candidate unopposed in seeking the office of Hunt County Constable for Precinct 1.
