Officials confirm rough weather month locally

By Scott Harvey

Fort Worth – The National Weather Service reports that temperatures topped 100 degrees in 30 of 31 days in the month of July.

The average high temperature during the month was 101.7 degrees, with the hottest day coming on July 25 at 106 degrees, which could be broken already in this first day of August.

In a time when rain would be the best solution to the current drought, precipitation at Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport recorded less than one inch last month.

The Weather Service says July set or tied 12 record warmest low temperatures and set the all-time record warmest low temperature of 86 degrees on the 26th.
