Officials postpone job fair to benefit outgoing employees

By Scott Harvey

Greenville – Officials with Woodgrain Millwork in Greenville are working to organize a job fair to assist the 60 some workers that will lose their jobs as the result of company consolidation.

But organizers announced Thursday that the August 25 event will need to be rescheduled as their Greenville location has recently experienced an increase in order volume. The fair will be pushed back to September; however, an exact date has not been set.

Area businesses are invited to attend next month's event to share any current or future openings you may have. There is no charge to participate in the job fair, according to Human Resource Generalist Paula Garner. Computer access will be available and skirted tables will be provided. You'll also be given the opportunity to interview potential candidates in a private setting.

The event, once a time is determined, will take place at the Woodgrain facility, located at 5700 Enterprise Drive. Contact Paula to reserve your table at 903-455-9472 x1235.

In July, Woodgrain Millwork announced they would be moving their entire production of aluminum-clad swinging and sliding patio doors from Greenville to West Des Moines, Iowa by late November.
