One person was injured this morning in an accident involving a car and an American Medical Response ambulance.
The ambulance was flipped during the crash at the intersection of Joe Ramsey Boulevard and Wesley Street at around 8:45 a.m. today.
A Kia Sportage was reportedly proceeding westbound on Joe Ramsey when it struck the side of the ambulance, which was headed northbound on Wesley while responding to a call. The ambulance was not carrying a patient at the time.
The paramedics inside the ambulance were not hut. The driver of the Sportage was transported in unknown condition to the Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville.
